A Truly Sustainable Mindset
While we are at the beginning of adding a transferrable value to a person’s emotional connection to an item, ultimately we want to promote and practice a truly circular economy by eliminating waste and re-using all products’ materials. Our ultimate aim is to turn the damaging impacts of unwanted clothing into restorative ones. For instance, we soon will allow customers to sell their purchased items back to us, and we are looking into a creating a resale function in the near future. We are also exploring possibilities with innovating recycling partners to turn clothing items at the end of their lifecycle into usable fibres.
Responsible Measurement
It is never straight-forward to properly measure sustainability. However, by using a variety of sales reports, we can get some idea of how much waste we’ve rescued from landfill sites. At the other end, we rely on our charitable partners to report on what the impact was of the donations provided and how the money was spent. We will communicate all of this as clearly and transparently as possible to everyone involved.
